This session will explore best practices for getting started with your Oracle Database cloud service also known as Oracle DBaaS, a dedicated virtual machine for running an Oracle database instance with pre-installed database software, full Oracle net access and full administrative root OS and SYSDBA access to manage your database, along with new cloud tools for simpler management such as one-click automated backup and patching. This session will include real life examples as well as live demonstrations and best practices for creating a database cloud service instance, enabling secure network access, accessing the database using SQL Developer and monitoring your DBaaS.
