National Health Service in England varies and controls the operation of state hospitals. The Association is responsible for increasing the efficiency of individual hospitals and patient satisfaction. For this purpose they have defined key performance indicators, which are divided according to the various fields. Indicators are monitored on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly). Certain measures to improve the business are taken based on the results. In order to achieve the greatest possible efficiency for each hospital it is of utmost importance to monitor the indicators regularly, preferably daily, as in this case, the hospital may adopt immediate measures.

The presentation will include some examples of indicators that are monitored in the NHS England. The lecture will show the development of the BI system, which serves as a support for the monitoring indicators.
